Time Management By Gerry Gold The more I study time management, the more I realize that the best time managers are the ones who don't focus too much on their time management systems and get right to work. The more complicated a time management system is, the less likely a person is to use it for an extended period of time. Systems that require long to-do lists, fancy electronic gadgets or complex software are not going to be kept up for long. Simple systems that are easy to learn and keep up will provide benefits to the user. Every minute spent on managing time is actually a minute spent not doing something that could be really important. The investment of time in time management does not pay off for many people. Try to think about this fact when setting up and designing your time management system. Go for simplicity and ease of use. There are no points for being a good time manager only for actually getting lots of important things accomplished.

The best system I have used is to make a list of five things to accomplish today. Select the most important one and start and finish that one first.
